2021 Les Côteaux Shiraz

The Shiraz comes from 10-20 year old vines in Paarl, which are harvested exclusively by hand. The wine is left on the grape skins for approx. 30 days to extract aroma and color. A wine with intense aromas of ripe black berries and spicy notes. Intense and full-bodied on the palate with fine-grained, ripe tannins.

Recommendation: Serve chilled at 10-12 degrees Celsius, preferably in large wine glasses, as this allows the many aromas to develop best. The wine goes very well with fried fish dishes, e.g. fried sole with creamy porcini mushroom risotto, as well as white meat and medium-strong cheeses. Optimal drinking maturity until 2027.
