2021 Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 0.375L

The Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 2021 from Tedeschi is characterized by its strong, clear ruby red in the glass. The bouquet combines elegant vanilla notes with sweet aromas of redcurrants, blueberries and cherries. On the palate, the wine is velvety and well-structured, with a harmonious balance between fine bitterness, softness and fruitiness, accompanied by a hint of raisins. The finish is long-lasting. This Amarone has great ageing potential and reflects the quality of the vineyards, which lie on marl soils with a south-westerly to south-easterly exposure. The Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grape varieties give it its characteristic taste. The grapes are dried for around four months in a controlled environment before the wine is matured for three years in Slavonian oak barrels and then refined for at least six months in the bottle.
