A rich, round and fruity expression of the vintage. The Barbaresco 2020 shows notes of strawberries, red fruits and cherries. On the palate, it shows a good integration of tannins, rounder than 2019, but still soft and graceful. Blackberry, orange and floral notes lead to a delicate, supple and voluminous finish.

Recommendation: Serve decanted at 18 degrees Celsius. Goes very well with dishes with roasted dark meat, fillet of beef under a savoy cabbage coat, bread crust and fresh truffles, fine game birds, quail, duck or stuffed Bresse pigeon with juicy red meat, beet, celery cannelloni and raspberry vinegar.

The current owner Angelo Gaja is known to have had a great influence on wine production throughout Italy with his oenological and economic methods. His wines are considered a status symbol on a par with Château Lafite-Rothschild or Krug.
