Bright red color. Expressive aromas of raspberries and cinnamon lead the way, with floral notes of laurel and elicriso (Helichrysum italicum) playing a supporting role. On the palate, black cherry, plum and blackberry, wild herbs and spicy undergrowth. The tannins are fine and very well integrated with the freshness and suppleness of this wine.

Angelo Gaja is a famous Italian winemaker. He is known for his high quality standards, care in winemaking and a clear idea of a "Gaja wine".

The roots of the company lie in Spain (17th century). The Gaja winery was then founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja , a grape producer in Barbaresco. Since the 1980s, the company has expanded its range of wines in other areas of Piedmont and Tuscany and now also produces Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino.
The current owner Angelo Gaja is known to have had a great influence on wine production throughout Italy with his oenological and economic methods. His wines are considered a status symbol on a par with Château Lafite-Rothschild or Krug.
