First created as a cross between Catarratto and Moscato d'Alessandria by Count Antonio Mendola at the end of the 19th century, Grillo combines the acidity and fresh aromas of citrus fruit and herbs of Catarratto with the sweet, oral nuances of Muscat. Primarily used for the production of Marsala wine in the province of Trapani since the 19th century, today it impresses in a modern interpretation as a fresh, aromatic wine with pleasant drinkability.
