Bouquet of pear, gooseberry and hay flowers, beautiful structure, long finish. For many years, Silvaner was the most widely cultivated grape variety in Germany alongside Müller-Thurgau, before it was mainly displaced by Riesling. You almost have to regret this, because Dirk Emmich shows just how delicate and enchanting a Silvaner can taste. Hawthorn and lime blossom on the nose, finely interwoven, crisp, fruity acidity, wonderfully light and wonderfully drinkable.
