Passionate wine

When Josef Fischer took responsibility for the family winery in Rosatz, he took his time. He wanted to change a lot - but in peace and considered. So at first he only took small steps, some of them revolutionary: he switched the 11 hectares of vineyards to biological management, he banished pure breeding yeast from the basement and only gave up spontaneously. And he stroked the fixed appointments for the start of sales of his wines in the calendar.

“Riesling is an idiosyncratic grape variety. You can't press Rieslings into a scheme, but you have to give them freedom, ”the young winemaker is convinced. That is why he leaves his wines out of single layers around Roset the time they need. Only when you have put the child's fruitiness and young people upset do you develop the ability to act as an ambassador for the individual vineyards in which you have grown.

The Wachau, one of the most renowned wine regions in Austria, is world-famous for its elegant Grüner Veltliner and Rieslings.
