2023 L'UM Bianco Dell'Umbria

The wine is made exclusively from grape must obtained by very gentle pressing, is vinified after a short cryomaceration at around 16C and stored on the lees until bottling. Aroma: elegant and refined, reminiscent of white flowers, hazelnuts and fresh fruit (peach and green apple), closing with fragrance and pleasant citrus notes. Palate: easy to like, medium-bodied, shows beautiful drinkability, supported by a particularly fruity, long and persistent finish. Focus: In the early 2000s, we began experimenting with white varieties that maintained the right acidity even in increasingly hot summers. Vermentino gave the best result and in 2004 we started growing it in our vineyards. In this wine it is blended with Chardonnay, which was introduced to Umbria by Giorgio Lungarotti in the early 1970s. Curiosity: the name L`UM comes from the first letters of Umbria, the same as LUNGAROTTI: once again underlining the strong bond with our land.
