The Traisental is a wine region in Lower Austria that stretches along the Traisen river. The region is known for its elegant and fruity white wines, in particular Riesling and Grüner Veltlinerbut some red wines are also produced, such as Zweigelt and Pinot Noir.

The vineyards in the Traisental are planted on steep slopes and are characterized by calcareous soils, which give the wine a mineral note. The mild climate and favorable location ensure optimal ripening of the grapes.

The wines from the Traisental are known for their high quality and are appreciated by many wine connoisseurs.
