2015 Pobladura Bierzo DO

It has been a good 40 years since Émile Peynaud, the father of modern enology, expressed the opinion that the Bierzo region of northwestern Spain had one of the best terroirs in the world for producing top quality wines. Now, finally, the time has come. A tiny band of oenologists has set out to confirm the wise prediction of the old master and to make the Mencía grape variety, native to Bierzo, known internationally. At the forefront, and well on its way to becoming a real insider tip, is the tiny little Finca Losada.
