Strong yellow gold. Still restrained on the nose, fine spice from new wood of cinnamon and cloves, underlaid with ripe apple fruit, delicate red berry nuances, not nearly as expressive a bouquet as the No. 8. Oily texture on the palate, again red berry confit, after nougat and honey, opulent yellow fruit, very full-bodied, well balanced by a perfectly integrated acid structure, again well supported by the wood in the incredibly long finish, a wine for decades, but already easy to drink today due to its radiant clarity.

The Weinlaubenhof Kracher is located in the "Seewinkel" in the Austrian Burgenland. Here, where the evaporation from the lake, the evening mists and the warm Pannonian climate cause constant warm and humid weather changes, Botrytis cinerea grows, the basis for fantastic sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen.

From the grape varieties Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Traminer, Scheurebe, Muskat-Ottonel and occasionally also Zweigelt Alois Kracher creates 10 to 15 different Trockenbeerenauslese wines each year in two different styles.

"Zwischen den Seen" is the name given to those wines that are matured in large wooden barrels or stainless steel tanks and display the classic style of the region. The wines in the "Nouvelle Vague" line are vinified in new barriques. They are characterized by depth, spice and sustainability.

Gerhard Kracher now runs the winery with the same dedication and dynamism as his father.

In addition to the world-famous Trockenbeerenauslese wines, the range of the undoubtedly best-known Austrian winery also includes Beerenauslese, Auslese, ice wine and small quantities of dry white and red wine.
