Château Trotanoy's second wine, l'Esperance de Trotanoy, debuted with the 2009 vintage and is not made every year. It comes from a parcel in the northeastern part of the Trotanoy estate, which features gravelly soils and produces a wine that is fruit-driven and approachable after only a few years of cellaring, while retaining much of the character of the estate's Grand Vin. The wine is approximately 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
