2020 Old Vine Zinfandel

Zinfandel originally comes from Croatia and corresponds to the indigenous vine Crljenak Katelanski. Today, Zinfandel vineyards can be found particularly in California. The relationship to the southern Italian Primitivo is clear, although the Zinfandel is usually somewhat spicier and more elegant. Delicato's Zinfandel comes from old vines (Gnarly Head - gnarled vines) that produce intense berries. The ageing in wood gives it a portion of melting and vanilla aroma, as traditional Californian reds like to have. Mild and full-bodied food companion.
