Aromatic, full, structured, long and persistent, great structure, balance and good fruit on the palate, lush with little acidity, round on entry, soft, full, good finish.

The Viognier grape originally comes from France. However, our sunny climate and the calcareous soil in Piedmont bring out the best qualities in the grape. The golden yellow vines give the wine its intense color. Our Val di Luna Viognier is low in acidity and smells of ripe apricots and peach. Floral notes also come to the fore. It is best served with fish dishes, white meat or well-seasoned dishes.

Time flows slowly in the gentle hills of Monferrato in southern Piedmont. Wine has been grown here for centuries. The climate is mild and the sun is particularly kind to the grapes. The calcareous soil also gives the vines plenty of time to grow. No wonder that some of Italy's finest wines come from this region, such as our Val di Luna wines.

The winery with Luigi Carlini wants to turn his grandfather Antonio's dream into reality: To produce wines that are honest yet complex. Wines that are best enjoyed with family and best friends. Wines that evoke memories and stories in us. In Ernestino Laiolo, they have been able to recruit a great and experienced winemaker for Val di Luna, thus bringing together passion and traditional winemaking skills.

The Piedmont, located in the north-west of Italy, is one of the most prestigious wine growing regions in the world. Characterized by the gentle hills of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, the region is known for its noble red wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, which are made from the Nebbiolo grape and in addition to these top wines also Barbera, Dolcetto and the sparkling Moscato d'Asti. The climate with hot summers, cool nights and fog in autumn creates perfect conditions for wine production. Piedmont is characterized by a deep connection to the wine tradition, excellent cuisine and charming wine villages that make a trip to this region an unforgettable experience.
