The history of Weingut Kloster Eberbach goes back just as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: Even for the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, winegrowing was one of their main occupations. What was initially intended for their own consumption soon developed into a sought-after commodity that secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.

The Rheingau is one of the most renowned wine regions in Germany and world famous for its elegant and durable Rieslings and powerful Spätburgunder.
