Only in very special years does Dirk Emmich age his St. Laurent in barrique barrels. With a lot of love and flair for this delicate grape variety, which is not dissimilar to Pinot Noir, he manages to bring a wine to the glass that combines great elegance with wonderful spicy fruit, making it an overall experience that many would not expect from a red wine from Germany.
