2020 Riesling Weilberg Grosses Gewächs

The Weilberg is a somewhat warmer vineyard than the Saumagen, but this is not reflected at all in the aroma: It smells brightly fruity and herbaceous, with fresh aromas of apples, white peach, meadow herbs, lime blossom and white tea. Vibrant and firm on the palate, this has plenty of grip and density, but also a lot of finesse, the fine citrus and peach fruit resonates very discreetly in the background, with much more floral and herbal-spicy nuances. The acidity is extremely taut and gives the wine its cool, pithy character. Incredibly long, complex and juicy finish with a vibrant freshness. Another truly great, elegant Weilberg this year!
