The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS is clone 337 and has 14.5% alcohol. It is a relatively small cuvée of only 125 cases. This wine shows notes of underbrush, forest floor, fresh black and red currants, spicy oak, density, richness and a smooth and velvety texture. This appears to be the most developed and precocious of the five cuvées, and will likely be the one most consumers will enjoy drinking today. Nevertheless, its aging potential should not be ignored, as it certainly has two decades left in it.
