The 2014 Les Grandes Murailles has an opulent and pompous bouquet with plenty of cherry, strawberry, singed leather and red plums. It could have been overdone, but it is still very finely structured. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, well-integrated oak, soft texture and increasing intensity through to a delightful, slightly spicy finish.
