The Boroli 2016 Barolo Villero sources its fruit from Castiglione Falletto. The wine shows the precision and spiciness I associate with this famous Barolo subzone, but it also delivers ample spice and softness achieved through barrel aging. The oak signature is strong. The Villero shows soft, round oak tannins with juicy fruit flavors that add weight and volume to the finish. Blackberry, summer cherry and plum are followed by cinnamon, campfire ash and black licorice. (Wine Advocate)
