2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit for this wine comes from Cathy and Frank Dotzler's True Vineyard in Napa's Howell Mountain AVA. Site notes from the winemaker: "The site is nine acres and was literally carved out of the volcanic bedrock. It offers a completely different feel from the endless rows of vines that cover the valley floor and lower slopes. The oak trees and the pyres of hollowed-out rock that surround the site convey a sense of intimacy. The site and the wines that emerge from it are incredibly specific."
