2016 Fonseca Vintage Port Douro

Vintage Ports are always the special pride and flagship of any Port producer. They are produced only in the best years and from the perfect and healthy grape material. After a short storage period (two years) in large wooden vats, they continue to age in bottle for many years. They have an immense longevity (30-50 years are not uncommon) and usually unfold their potential only after 15-20 years, but then they are an absolute pleasure, whether simply pure or with well-matured blue cheeses.
