2017 Collines de L'If

The first vintage of the second wine from our estate in Saint-Émilion, beautifully situated next to Château Troplong Mondot on the plateau above the village. We took our time making this wine to ensure that the plots we used for this wine were ripe enough to produce a wine with character and quality. The first thing you notice is the dark pepper elements, the good, almost chocolaty intensity and then the dark fruit character. There is a lively spiciness, a good structure and then the elegant black fruit flavors come to the fore and the wine has a lively, fresh finish. For us, it is very characteristic of Saint Emilion and an easy-drinking, medium-bodied wine that is suitable for early drinking.
