The charming (and talented) Jeremy Chasseuil has released a brilliant 2017 Feytit-Clinet from his tiny vineyard between Trotanoy and Latour a Pomerol. Based on 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc aged in 65% new French oak, it offers a gorgeous nose of ripe black and blue fruits, violets and damp earth, with impeccably integrated sweet oak. Full-bodied, round and concentrated, it plays in the fresh, elegant style of the vintage, but has more power and texture than most. Offered exclusively by American merchant Jeffrey Davies, this wine is well worth your time and money.
