The 2017 L'Eglise Clinet is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It starts off a bit closed and brooding, but soon develops powerful notes of baked black plums, chocolate-covered cherries and blueberry jam with hints of charcoal grill, mocha and anise as well as a touch of tar. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it is a powerhouse of crisp, vibrant black fruit framed by wonderfully ripe, rounded tannins and plenty of freshness, with a long and savory finish.
Grape variety: 90% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot
