2019 Brane Cantenac Blanc

This cuvée of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon is the first vintage of this new Brane-Cantenac Blanc Grand Vin. The white Bordeaux was fermented and matured for eight months in 225 and 500 liter barrels with 25% new wood before bottling. The result is an elegant, substantial yet fresh Brane-Cantenac Blanc, which reveals notes of broom and jasmine, pear, lemon curd and lime with smoky, slightly reductive notes. The palate reveals power, as well as a floral and citrusy, but also herbal character. The wood provides structure and is perfectly integrated - a very successful debut!
