The Clos La Madeleine winery is part of the Moueix family, which owns numerous high-end estates in Pomerol, Saint-Émilion and Napa Valley. Clos La Madeleine is just 2.3 hectares of vineyards planted with 76% Merlot and 24% Cabernet Franc. The wine smells of ripe rose hips, sage, chocolate and cherries. Peppy in the mouth, long and earthy on the finish. Quite wonderful to drink now.
