90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc aged in 50% new barrels. Dark, dense color core, purple and quite viscous. Fairly restrained aroma of dark berries on the nose. It is fresh, crisp and almost a little raw and unpolished. A rich attack on the palate, very supple with lots of tannins, it is fine and long. The wood is well integrated and adds a chocolaty graphite note.
