For decades, the Dönnhoff winery in Oberhausen on the Nahe has been producing timeless Riesling that is rarely found in Germany. Such as the Kreuznacher Kahlenberg Riesling, whose grapes come from the 4.5-hectare VDP Erste Lage vineyard with its gravelly clay soils. Matured in large wooden barrels and stainless steel, this is a Riesling full of tension with plenty of freshness, charm, elegance and spice.
