2021 Pinot Noir Barda

Barda is rather airy and open in structure and was conceived to be drunk fresh and young. Its alcohol content is generally low - 12 to 13 percent. Sourced from Chacra's youngest vineyards, Barda is strong in character and versatile - a perfect companion for most foods. Planted in 1990, the vineyards grow on lightly sandy soils. Like all of our vineyards, the Barda vineyards are ungrafted and a mass selection yielding over 2 kilos per plant. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in round cement tanks, with natural and unfiltered indigenous yeasts.
