The Gesellmann winery was first mentioned in a document in 1776. Since then, many generations of winegrowers have contributed to ensuring that the shared knowledge is not forgotten, but redefined in conjunction with modernity.

The large vineyard area of 40 hectares is mainly planted with red grape varieties, 90 percent of which are Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also St. Laurent, Pinot Noir and Merlot, Zweigelt and Syrah. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are the most common white varieties. In suitable years, the Gesellmann winery also produces high quality wines (Trockenbeerenauslesen), some of which are supported by the use of barriques.
