Our winery has been family-owned since 1610. We cultivate our vineyards sustainably, which is why we voluntarily refrain from using soil herbicides and sow species-rich green mixtures between the vines. In addition, we cultivate our vineyards organically (currently in conversion) and make many decisions only for nature and biodiversity.

We deliberately reduce the harvest volume by breaking out shoots and grapes, because quality grows in the vineyard – not in the cellar. In autumn, the best qualities are achieved through the optimal timing of the grape harvest and selective manual harvesting. The grapes are gently transported and processed. In the cellar, only the most necessary steps are taken to let the wine mature in peace.

That Weinviertel, the largest wine region in Austria, is located in the north of the country and is particularly famous for the Grüner Veltliner known here, which is known here as Weinviertel DAC is protected. The region is characterized by its rolling hills, loess soils, and a Pannonian-continental climate that gives the wines their typical freshness and spice.

In addition to Grüner Veltliners, Welschriesling, Riesling and Burgundy varieties are also successfully grown. Charming cellar alleys, historic wine villages and the traditional Heurigen culture make the Weinviertel a popular destination for wine lovers and connoisseurs.
