2021 Pinot Nero Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGP BIO

One of the noblest grape varieties in the world, Pinot Noir, has been native to Trentino-Alto Adige for almost two centuries: but it is only in the best hillside locations that it best expresses those elegant characteristics that make it such a popular wine. Marco and Stefano Pisoni have invested decades in this grape variety, from the careful selection of clones to the choice of the best barriques for ageing. Winning the National Pinot Noir Competition in 2009 was the culmination of a long period of work that is still ongoing to offer all lovers of this grape variety an unmistakable and fascinating interpretation that does not emulate Burgundy, but enhances and refines the terroir of the Valle dei Laghi.
Bright garnet red, ripe cherries, blueberries and blackberries, meadow herbs and delicate licorice, some vanilla, tobacco and brioche notes, very fine and elegant.
