As the name suggests, our Spätburgunder Muschelkalk VDP.Gutswein comes exclusively from parcels with shell limestone soils around Ingelheim. The shell limestone brings a distinct minerality to the wine, which emphasizes the slender elegance of the Spätburgunder. The wine is characterized by red berry fruit aromas with light tobacco and toasted notes. The freshness and present acidity make the pleasantly unobtrusive Pinot Noir a red wine pleasure for every day.
The VDP.estate wines reflect the J. Neus "house style". These wines reflect our J. Neus winery at a high, qualitative level and are suitable for everyday enjoyment. Here we use traditional grape varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc and of course our J. Neus Pinot Noir.

Since 1881, the J.Neus winery has stood for Pinot Noir tradition in the red wine town of Ingelheim am Rhein.
