Late Release in 2022 from the winery. Pfaffenberg in Stein is one of the top sites in the Wachau. Beautifully situated, high above the Danube, open to the wind and cool, but perfectly exposed. A barren soil on crystalline primary rock, brilliant for Riesling. The Alte Reben is harvested only from vines over 60 years old, a special parcel. Chic, lively juicy fruit of Granny Smith and green pear, bright flowers and clashing minerality. Very harmonious, smooth finish. Great aged and quite wonderful to drink now!
