The Filzener Herrenberg proves that old vines do not preclude youthful freshness with a delicate aroma of apple and pear, joined by subtle floral aromas and a hint of clove spice. The palate is slender and lively, delicately fruity, and the juicy taste of green fruit is joined by a tangy citrus note. Light-hearted, with delicate acidity, ideal as a transition to the dry range.

GREAT WINES FROM THE SAAR.

At the estate, the centuries-old wine culture is close enough to touch: in the spacious park of the winegrower's villa, above the huge vaulted cellar, under the old trees, surrounded by hydrangeas, roses and lavender, you can enjoy the excellent Riesling and Burgundy wines from our vineyards with all your senses.

We live and work from and with nature, it is our most important asset. For us, the preservation of the cultivated landscape with its steep slopes means responsible, conscious, nature-oriented cultivation - in addition to the practice of "gentle pruning", this includes above all the renunciation of insecticides, acaricides and herbicides.

Our wines are vinified just as carefully as we treat the vineyards throughout the year and the grapes during the harvest. All wines are fermented by natural settling and using wild yeasts in stainless steel and in large wooden barrels from the Stockinger cooperage - deep down, in our always cool slate cellar dating back to 1924. As a team, we develop our wine style in the tension between the two divergent sites of Herrenberg and Bockstein: typical of the Saar, accessible, clear in expression with elegant, ripe acidity.
