A fresh and fruity wine with the typical Grüner Veltliner aromas of green apple, citrus, some gooseberry and pepper. Fine and lively on the palate with a perky acidity, it is a typical Steinfeder with plenty of drinkability. The Steinfeder grass (Stipa Pennata), a feathery grass from the steep vineyards of the Wachau valley landscape, gives these lively wines their name. Light-footed and elegant - the ideal wine for every day and every time of day.

The grapes for this Steinfeder wine come from the entire Wachau region with its special microclimate and its gneiss and loess soils. The grapes grow in vineyards on the left and right banks of the Danube. Only hand-picked grapes are used for this wine, resulting in a Wachau wine style full of character and fruit.

Domäne Wachau has developed into one of the most important wineries in Austria with a variety of typical Wachau wines under the management of Roman Horvath MW and Heinz Frischengruber. The Wachau wine region is a renowned wine growing area in Austria that stretches along the Danube River. It is located in the region of Lower Austria and covers an area of about 1,350 hectares.
