2020 Old Vine Zinfandel

The Zinfandel originates from Croatia and corresponds to the autochthonous vine Crljenak Katelanski. Today, vineyards with Zinfandel can be found especially in California. The relationship to the southern Italian Primitivo is clear, but the Zinfandel usually shows a little spicier and more elegant. Delicato's is from old vines (Gnarly Head) that produce intense berries. The aging in wood gives it another portion of melting and vanilla aroma, as traditionally Californian reds like to have. Mild and full-bodied food companion.
