Inviting clear, exotic aromas, tremendous length. Cool, herbal to herbaceous and also a bit floral nose with bright yellow fruity aromas and a hint of dark berries and quite distinct minerality. Straightforward, delicate, bright and cool, sweet fruit, very fine acidity, nutty and herbal traces, persistent, some bite, harmonious, very good, fine-juicy finish.

Site: the slope of the Steinberg faces south to southwest. It has a medium to deep, skeletal soil with good drainage. This is composed of sandy to clayey loam in the lower part and stony to grusy slate soils in the upper part. The wall around the Steinberg protects the site from the infiltration of cold air from the Taunus mountain ranges.

Wines from the best sites

A unique cultural heritage, the best locations and the highest quality standards: these ingredients make our wines a special experience.

The vineyards of Weingut Kloster Eberbach cover almost 230 hectares in the Rheingau and on the Hessische Bergstrasse. The vines for our wines and sparkling wines grow on this terroir - sustainably and carefully produced, always with the demand for the best quality at an international level.

The history of Weingut Kloster Eberbach goes back just as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: Even for the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, winegrowing was one of their main occupations. What was initially intended for their own consumption soon developed into a sought-after commodity that secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.
