A fruity wine with a fine sweetness, elegantly racy, silky acidity with smoky and floral aromas. A finesse-rich Spätlese from the magnificent Bockstein vineyard on the Saar.

As the name suggests, Spätlese wines are harvested quite late during the vintage, meaning that the grapes tend to be fully ripe to overripe and have a slight botrytis in parts. Due to the warm and dry summer, the grapes in the old vineyards of the Bockstein reached an extremely high level of ripeness with a constant water supply, which is particularly noticeable in the variety of flavors in the wine. In addition to the floral and spicy aromas known for the Bockstein, this wine has a particularly refined potpourri of yellow and stone fruits such as pear, Golden Delicious apple, ripe peach and apricot. The ageing potential of this wine is almost immeasurable, so that the taste becomes increasingly complex and refined with increasing years of ageing, without losing any of its finesse. As the residual sweetness gradually recedes into the background, all the aromas merge more and more into a perfectly balanced whole.
