The fine tart Riesling estate wine shows a lot of fruit on the nose with peach and gooseberry at the forefront, joined by delicate floral aromas and a hint of stone dust. The palate opens with plenty of punch and juice, peach, nectarine and even a slight tropical note with grapefruit are prominent. The initial residual sweetness is first replaced by a fine bitter aroma, and as it lingers longer on the palate, a rocky minerality begins to take center stage, providing a dry finish with a good edge.

Grape variety: Riesling

Flavor: off-dry
Alcohol content: 11% Vol.
Acidity: 7,8 g/l
Residual sugar: 20 g/l

Bottler, importer: Weingut Reverchon KG, Saartalstraße 2-3, 54329 Konz-Filzen, Germany.

GREAT WINES FROM THE SAAR.

At the estate, the centuries-old wine culture is close enough to touch: in the spacious park of the winegrower's villa, above the huge vaulted cellar, under the old trees, surrounded by hydrangeas, roses and lavender, you can enjoy the excellent Riesling and Burgundy wines from our vineyards with all your senses.

We live and work from and with nature, it is our most important asset. For us, the preservation of the cultivated landscape with its steep slopes means responsible, conscious, nature-oriented cultivation - in addition to the practice of "gentle pruning", this includes above all the renunciation of insecticides, acaricides and herbicides.

Our wines are vinified just as carefully as we treat the vineyards throughout the year and the grapes during the harvest. All wines are fermented by natural settling and using wild yeasts in stainless steel and in large wooden barrels from the Stockinger cooperage - deep down, in our always cool slate cellar dating back to 1924. As a team, we develop our wine style in the tension between the two divergent sites of Herrenberg and Bockstein: typical of the Saar, accessible, clear in expression with elegant, ripe acidity.
