2017 Letargo Reserva Rioja DOCa

The roots of this unique bodega date back to 1886, when the first vines were planted on the foothills of Monte Yerga. Even today, the vines have an average age of almost 50 years, which is certainly reflected in the wines. Despite, or perhaps because of so much tradition, Bodegas Mateos has reinvented itself in the latest generation. The LETARGO line, on the other hand, produces wines that are perfectly suited to current consumer tastes thanks to their fruit-driven style and soft tannins. Bodegas Mateos is an old traditional house, but at the same time an exciting newcomer with terrific qualities.
