2021 Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé

On the nose, notes of apples, pears and blackberries flatter with fruity-balsamic nuances, on the palate this light-footed Cap Classique is characterized by an incredibly balanced texture and concise fruit acidity, remarkable aftertaste.

Simonsig's first-class and wonderfully elegant cuvée Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé Methode Cap Classique is made from Pinotage, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and bottle fermentation at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
