2017 Vigne delle Forche Trentino DOC

In Trentino, until the middle of the 20th century, it was considered impossible to grow wines at an altitude like this (almost 900 meters above sea level). In the Vale di Cembra, however, attempts were made again and again in those early days, of course marked by many setbacks. Nevertheless, in the 60s of the last century, better and better results were achieved, initially with Schiava, then later with the grape variety Müller-Thurgau, so revered in northern Italy, which in this country has a rather questionable reputation of mass grape, which fortunately has changed significantly in recent years. Old vines produce extremely expressive and complex aromas here in the Cembra Valley at this altitude and the Vigna delle Forche is a prime example of this exceptional wine of Trentino.
