Wow. What a sparkling wine! Clearly drawn from Kauffmann's understanding of how high-quality Champagne is produced, the von Buhl Riesling Sekt is also more reminiscent of its big brother from France than of classic German Riesling sparkling wine. The grapes are harvested early to still provide crisp acidity and low sugar, which then gives the final product its freshness and incredible finesse.
