Since Jutta and Marco are no longer allowed to use the original name Reisenberg on their labels, they have chosen the new name "Revision". Their parcel at Reisenberg is home to Grüner Veltliners, which were mostly planted sparsely in the 1960s on slate and gneiss soils. As with most of their wines, they are aged in stainless steel tanks and bottled with a reasonable amount of sulfur. Bright green herbs (marjoram), mineral cut, with just ripe nectarine and mango, pleasantly bitter pineapple core and a salty wash of palate on the finish - can age but would be lovely now with fresh salads, fish crudos and oysters on the half shell.

Grape variety: Grüner Veltliner

Alcohol content: 13% Vol.
Allergen information: Contains sulfites

Bottler, Importer: Ambrositsch Winery, A-1030 Vienna, Austria

Jutta Ambrositsch decided to trade her work as art director of an advertising agency for time in the vineyard in 200. Quite spontaneously, actually. The first 1/4 hectare of Riesling was quickly found and leased. The pleasing result confirmed the decision. Bit by bit, the vineyard grew to four hectares. Gemischter Satz is grown in the vineyards on both sides of the Danube, Grüner VeltlinerRiesling and red grape varieties.

The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and vinified puristically in stainless steel and large oak barrels. Non-vineyard yeasts are taboo, and the amount of sulphur used to stabilize the wines is kept to a minimum. The "Buschenschank In Residence" at Langackergasse 5a in Grinzing - a wine village on the outskirts of Vienna - is open ten weekends a year.
