The 2008 Madrona Ranch opens with an incredibly expressive bouquet. Espresso, mocha and licorice meld with dark red fruits and sweet exotic spices in this great wine. The 2008 is an extraordinarily sophisticated, refined wine for the vintage. Sweet spice and floral notes round off the finish. The relatively high proportion of Cabernet Franc (37%) comes into its own here. The blend consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot.
