2013 Mas de Can Blau

Intensely perfumed aromas of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, vanilla and candied licorice are complemented by gentle incense and mineral nuances. Coats the palate with sweet black and blue fruits, spice cake and floral pastille flavors that slowly intensify on the back half. Seamless in texture and impressively concentrated; soft tannins lend shape to a strikingly long, mineral-driven finish. This highly impressive Montsant would hold its own in a tasting of serious Priorats.
