A deep, powerful wine, the 2013 H Block hits the palate with serious depth and intensity. Sweet red berries, mint, crushed flowers, anise and rose petals gradually open up, but it's the Franc's tannic profile that really stands out. There's a lot to like here, but readers will have to be patient. Today, the 2013 is incredibly aromatic and precise, but the pedigree of the wine will likely need a few more years to fully develop.
