Only in very special years does Dirk Emmich also vinify his St. Laurent in barrique barrels. With much love and flair for this delicate grape variety, which is not unlike Pinot Noir, he manages to bring a wine to the glass that combines high elegance with wonderful spicy fruit, making it an overall experience that many would not expect from a red wine from Germany.
